Activities and achievements as a councillor and activist
Here are some of the achievements and activities to which I have contributed along with the other councillors and activists in Beverley and the East Riding.

Beverley Events
As a part of the Beverley Town Council team I have helped to organise and oversee some good events in Beverley. One was the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. Another at which I and other councillors represented the town council was the proclamation and Coronation of King Charles III.

Community Activities
I and other town councillors oversee financial and other support provided by Beverley Town Council for many community activities including:
- Beverley In Bloom - maintains flower beds and displays throughout the town
- Beverley Christmas Lights
- Beverley Festival of Christmas
- Beverley Barge Preservation Society
- Beverley Football Club
- Beverley Rugby Club

Community Social Support
With all of the other town councillors I voted to continue support for the Cherry Tree Centre which does a vital and often overlooked job in supporting families with its food bank, and local young people with various community building activities.
Beverley Arts and Culture
The town council has always supported cultural activities and the current councillors continue that tradition. I am proud to have helped out at many cultural events over the years including the Stage4Beverley Festival, Folk Festival, Puppet Festival and others. We all support the following organisations:
- Beverley In Bloom - maintains flower beds and displays throughout the town
- Beverley Puppet Festival
- She Productions and Stage4Beverley at East Riding Theatre

Xmas!
The town council always tries to put on some Xmas lights and trees for the festive season. Overall most people are happy with Beverley's seasonal offering, although in 2024 severe weather affected the Beverley Festival of Christmas.

Fences fixed at Beverley Beck
While I was campaigning for election in 2022 people around Beverley Beck asked me if anyone could fix the fences around the beck, many of which were rotting or had disappeared completely.
Upon my election I set about trying to get this done. The fences are the responsibility of the county council, so I wrote to the then Conservative councillors to see if I could get something done. I got a reply to say that something would be done but heard no more. A year later in May 2023 the Liberal Democrats took the Minster and Woodmansey ward and within a short time the fences were fixed.
